Michigan CNA Careers Are Promising

In order to become a Michigan CAN, it’s necessary to follow the state regulated requirements. In most states, this requires a certification. It’s a certification that will be worth the effort, paying off in an honored profession.

The first step to becoming a CNA is taking the required courses. Michigan requires taking a 75-hour course load. Online certification is not a possibility in the state of Michigan. Unfortunately, any online program that is offered in this state is not valid.

A typical education will include time in class, lab, and time spent working clinical hours. The clinical hours will be conducted under the supervision of a certified instructor.

The next step to becoming a CNA will involve exams and testing. Certification requires both a written test and a practical skills exam. Both the test and the exam must be passed with a score of at least 70 percent in order to receive certification.

Upon successful completion of the examinations, it’s possible to apply for your certification. Once you receive the certification your name is entered into the Michigan’s Nurse’s Aid Registry. Potential employers use this registry to find qualified CNAs for employment.

Your certification will be valid for two years. After this time it will expire unless it’s renewed. If it should expire, retesting is not required. All one must do is file a renewal application.

A Michigan CNA certificate is a positive step towards starting a new career. It’s a career that’s in high demand. CNAs are required in hospitals, nursing homes, and several other types of health care facilities. This is a career and education that can be used as a launching pad to becoming a nurse, or another higher level health care professional. It’s a stable career that has an ever increasing demand. It’s a lucrative decision that helps you and others.

In my opinion, this is a really good choice. First of all, it’s in demand so finding a job is quite easy. Next, the pay is good. Lastly, if you enjoy taking care of other people, you would feel as if you’re not even working.

Wow. Passing the CNA course doesn’t seem that difficult. But still, you need dedication and hard work to perform well especially when the time comes that you need to put theory into practice.

  3. Earnest Myers says:

Passing the certification sounds really easy because it has fewer unit requirements, but it’s definitely not a walk in the park. It takes time to get used to taking care of the elderly and make them feel comfortable with your presence.

This course sounds really interesting. You can finish it in a jiffy and the opportunities are everywhere. Having the right knowledge, the right job and right expertise can really help you build your future. You will have a career until robots take over this field. Which is unlikely to happen in decades to come.
